Roy Dalene
President & CEO
Equipped with the tools of the trade, Roy Dalene was called
by the entrepreneurial spirit to join his father, Hugo Dalene,
and brother, Frank Dalene, as vice president of Telemark
Construction in 1984. Since the move, Dalene has aided his
family in building one of the nation’s elite companies
in custom, luxury home building and remodeling.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering
from Polytechnic Institute of New York, Dalene jumped into the
work force. Working for Bechtel Power Corporation, he concentrated
in structural design and construction of electrical power plants.
Dalene brings practical application skills of the trade to the
company. His managerial strengths on the job sites and commercial
construction experience have been fundamental to the progression
and success of many Telemark properties.
Away from the construction site, Dalene is a member of the East
Hampton Town Home Improvement Licensing Review Board and has
served as the chairman since 1995. During his tenure as chairman,
he spearheaded an overhaul of the town’s Home Improvement
Code making it more comprehensive to the current home improvement
environment as well as adding a proactive stipulation to continuing
education. He shared his knowledge and experiences by serving
on the Advisory Board for Custom Builders Magazine and Custom
Builder National Conference and Expo.
He has spoken to groups at the Custom Builder Conference and
Expo on many occasions on different topics including: "Million
Dollar Secrets," "The Builder's Service Station: How
to Generate Revenue Maintaining the Homes You Build," "Innovations
in Building Luxury Homes: New Construction Techniques,” and "Pre-Primed
Products Cover-Up: What You Don't Know Could Hurt You."
Dalene married Lori DeNatale in 1980 and together they have
raised three children.

Frank Dalene

CFO
At the young age of five, Frank Dalene picked up a hammer at
his father’s construction site. Years later he is still
building.
As the successful President/CEO and co-founder of Telemark, Inc.,
a family of construction related companies, he helped develop
the business into one of the nation’s elite in custom luxury
home building and remodeling. Dalene has now taken another step
forward in the luxury custom home building market with his newest
venture, Hamptons Luxury Homes.
Working alongside Hugo Dalene, his father, and Roy Dalene, his
brother, Dalene’s industry knowledge and expertise has
led Telemark to achieve the 1998 Custom Builder of the Year Award:
Best Home – Northeast Region. Telemark has continued to
stand out among luxury home builders, to a great extent due to
Dalene’s savvy business techniques and understanding of
the market.
Dalene received his Bachelors of Arts degree from Nyack College
in upstate New York in 1975. With intentions of continuing his
work in the construction field, he used his time to sharpen his
critical thinking skills and gain knowledge that would help him
in his business career. Throughout college, he expanded the spectrum
of his construction and craftsmanship skills by working in a
variety of home building capacities, from plumbing to high-end
construction.
Upon graduation, the Dalene’s moved to Long Island to accept
a position with a landscape supply business. After advancing
in that firm, then 25, he established his own carpentry business
that excelled in framing and finishing.
His father, searching for a business partner, aligned with Dalene’s
successful company in 1978. Together, father and son created
Telemark Construction. Since Frank Dalene was born in Norway,
both father and son decided to name the company after the county
in Norway of the family’s origination. Five years later,
younger brother Roy joined the firm as a civil engineer and provided
Telemark with critical expertise and additional available services.
Since Hugo Dalene’s 1995 retirement, the Dalene brothers
have worked together to operate and expand Telemark.
Since its inception, Telemark has represented the ultimate in
quality craftsmanship. Telemark has built personal relationships
with world-renowned architects and designers that enables the
firm to create outstanding homes for its clients, while maintaining
its dedication to fine Scandinavian craftsmanship.
Telemark has also adapted to sophisticated advancements within
the industry. Its commitment to incorporate technology through
its web-enabled management system has allowed Telemark to broaden
its sphere of influence to include the national marketplace.
Frank Dalene is committed to the industry and shares his knowledge
and experience with others.
He has served on, and continues as a member of numerous state
and national boards including the Board of Directors of the New
York State Builders Association, the National Association of
Home Builders and the Long Island Builders Institute. Dalene
has been a seminar speaker at the Custom Builder National Conference
and Expo and the Long Island Builders Institute’s The New
Millennium Associate Trade Show. He is a published author and
a regular participant in conferences and workshops. In 2002,
he was a member of the Republican Presidential Task Force and
in 2005 served on the National Republican Congressional Committee’s
(NRCC) Business Advisory Council at the 7th Annual Congressional
Tax Summit. He was awarded the National Leadership Award, the
1999, 2003, and 2004 Businessman of the Year Award, 2000 Republican
of the Year Award and the 2004 Ronald Reagan Republican Gold
Medal Award from the NRCC.
Dalene married Gwen Hamburger in February, 1975, and they have
raised two children.
